black = what article is about. red = planning
This double page spread is quite basic, they have got a question ajnd answer format which allows the reader to know exactly what is being asked, this allows you to get a feel for what the artist is like. You can easily distionguish what is being asked and what is being answered due to the fact that what is being asked is in big Bold letters. The picture is the middle takes the notice and as the main singer is standing out and all of his other band members are faded out this helps you to see who in the band is the main singing figure.The little subheading on the other side of the page, gives the reader the ability to know what the article is about and what is going to be spoken about.
In my double page spread i am not going to have the question and answer format, my reasoning for this is because i think it looks to unformal, i like a report type way because it menas that the reader does not get broken up in there thought process for reading the article, i also like a report way because it is the way that a report should be written. The picture is nice but not my style i dont like the way that all of the people is faded out in the picture because it suggests that the man in the for picture is the only person who means something to the picture whch probably isnt true as i suspect the others have played a big part.
This article is very basic which works brilliantly, it has a very plain headline which is then followed up with a short introduction period and is then followed up with a feature article, this allows readers to easily read what is on the page.
The fact that there is no pictures on this page, shows that the writer is not try to get his point accross via pictures, it gives the reader the ability the visualise what is going to be happening in the article, it shows that the writer is try to capture the readers adventurous side of his memory which works, but magazines are for quick reading and people are not going to want to read a artcile which looks really quite boring with a black background.
Planning
This article is different it isnt in a question and answer format it is a feature article, you can see that it is written in a big block of text which makes it easier for the reader to read because their reading pattern is not disturbed. The title is wirtten in a magazine but in newspaper format, the way that it is stuck on the page looks as though it has been cut out of a newspaper or cut out of a seperate magazine each letter,this could possibly be improved if they had of had a different colour for each of the seperate letters would have made it more arty, the introduction line to the article is a brilliant idea it gives the readers the first line and gives them a jist of what the article is going to be about so that they can see whether or not they want to actually read the full article or not.
In my article i will be putting in a introduction line into my doublepage, this is because my writing will not interest everyone so i dont want people who dont enjoy my stuff reading it, so if i have the introduction line then people are going to be able to get a good feal for the article, if they enjoy they might want to go on and read more of my magazines helping me to get more customers. I like the way that the title is set out but i wouldnt have this personally, this is because it isnt me i want my article to feel like i have written it and not like someone from the public have written it for me.

The background which you chose is the most improtant part, if you have a plain background with no pictures your target audience is going to switch from younger people to older people the reason for this is because younger people like to look at all of the pictures because they get bored by all of the reading, if you have like no pictures your older audience is going to be more interested because they prefer all of the writing because it entertains themselves more.
Planning
This is my mock up of my double page spread i am yet to think of a title for my double page yet so that is my main aim, i have had a interview with this artist talking about his life and what he gets up to.
The title for my double page says that it is a exclusive the bold text shows it is my main title, and this helps to get my page sorted out into which is title and which is words, the words help to decided whether or not the page will be good or not.
